Preorders

Preordering reserves a copy of a product before it is released. Preorder items are badged as such wherever they appear — in the catalogue, in your cart and at checkout — so you always know what you are ordering.

When you pay

At the time you order, like any other purchase. The price you pay is the price shown when you order; it does not change afterwards, in either direction.

When it ships

On release day. If your order combines a preorder with items currently in stock, the complete order ships together when the preorder is released. If you would rather have the currently in-stock items now, place those items as a separate order.

If a release is delayed or cancelled

Release dates are set by the publisher and are therefore subject to change. If a release date has been changed we will inform you. If a product is cancelled outright, or if we do not receive the allocation we expected, we will refund the preorder in full.

Cancelling a preorder

Preorders cannot be cancelled once placed. Where we do agree to cancel one, a 30% cancellation fee applies and the balance is refunded.

A preorder commits us to an allocation with the distributor prior to release, which is why it is treated differently from standard orders — these can still be cancelled within 24 hours, see our returns policy. If a release is delayed or cancelled by the publisher, the sections above apply and you are refunded in full.
